Ducting exhaust fans in bathroom remodel

We are remodeling 2 bathrooms which are just separated by a wall. We are installing an exhaust fan in each room and are wondering if the ducting for each could be joined and share one outside vent?

This is allowed, but make sure both units have the little one way flapper (check valve) in place. Wouldn't want to exhaust odorous air into the next room.

If noise level is a concern, I wonder if the duct will carry sound between the rooms.

I'm not sure if they make a wye fitting for the duct, a tee is available though.

You might want to check out the inline vents that are designed to be mounted remotely and service mulitple bathrooms.
