Water Softner Question

I have a Water Boss softner now for about 6 years. Works great. However after the last regeneration, the water which is generally clear started coming out slightly yellow in color. I am on a well but this change happened immedately after the regeneration so I'm betting it's the softner. Also, the water running from the kitchen tap (hard water) is clearer than the softned water. Any ideas?

Assuming there is no dirty water coming in to the softener during the regeneration. Which may be an indicator of a low water level in the well... It sounds as if you might have some iron in the water and the resin is loaded up.

If so you can use a resin cleaner.
