I am installing 2 1/2" x 3/4" clear verticle heart pine over quick trak floor warming. The length of the boards is 20'. My question is would you think that there might be a problem putting this system under this type of wood? Is there another system that might be a better choice?

Expect the joints to expand and contract with the seasons. If you want a nice even floor all year choose something else. The heat will dry it out in the winter...consider a humidifier. Ideally, you could keep the relative humidity similar winter and summer, but often that would cause condensation problems in the winter with resultant mold. And, while obvious, be careful nailing it down!

The flooring being that close to the heat sourse would keep it dried out until it was turned off, then it would expand from moisture in the off months.

Like jadnashua said, pick some other type of flooring.
