Pressure problem

Hello, I just registered. When I turn on the water, hot or cold, there is normal pressure for about four seconds, it then slows by about 90%, then over the next eight or ten seconds returns and stays at normal flow. All faucets have been doing this for several days. I have a 1400 foot water line off the county system but it's been this way for twenty years. Something has changed.

You may have a pressure reducer on the line giving you the problem.

They can be repaired, but most of the time, replaced.
