I recently replaced my kitchen sink, faucet, and p-trap. I kept the old Insinkerator disposal since it was working fine. Now, my sink drains more slowly than before. Even with no food in the disposal, it doesn't drain fast enough to keep the sink empty when the faucet is on full strength. Before the upgrades, I never had this problem.

Any ideas what the problem might be? I have some Liquid Plumber that I thought I'd try. Is that okay to use with the disposal? Thanks for any hints.

During the change some crud loosened and/or something fell down the drain and cloged it. Snake out the drain.

Forget the chemicals. Outside of a grease or hair clog in a trap, chemicals not only won't clear a drain, they can create a hazzard for a plumber who eventually has to work on clearing the clog.

That makes sense. I will take apart the trap tonight and snake the waste line.
