I am working at my elks lodge and it has an old commercial toilet and the spud gasket is leaking. Can anyone tell me how to get the spud off so I can replace the whole spud or just the rubber gasket? Thanks. Kevin
Replace the whole spud. Loosen the lock nut, and then push the spud down to loosen it from the gasket. At that point you should be able to pull it out of the opening. You may have to wiggle and twist it to do it. But if the nut is seized, then the spud may twist out of the opening when you try to loosen the nut.
