Tub Cut-off

I am istalling a new bath tub and was going to install a cut-off on hot and cold sides of tub unit. Is it better to use a cut-off with a compression fitting on it or is it better to use one that is without. I have heard that if I had any movement of slab I could get a leak easier at the compression unit. I guess what I really need to know is it better not to use compression at this location.

You're not supposed to use compression fittings inside a wall, which is most likely where your tub faucet is located.
Solder in male copper fittings for the shutoff valves, and make sure that you leave an access panel.
