Right now from my water pump in basement to the out pipe on my water softner is 3/4 inch copper, it then goes to 1/2 to the other side of the basement where it is tee'd off to the cold side and the hot side. Say when a shower is running I have little water flow left to anything else. Two options I was thinking of was 1) run a new 1/2 line from the 3/4 to the hot water side so hot and cold have there own 1/2 supply or 2) run a single 3/4 all the way to the other side of the basment and then have it go to the hot and cold lines. Both options require the same amount of work but I don't know which would be best.

Thanks
Alex
