Stub out lengths?

Basic plumbing question here...

How long should rough in copper supply and PVC DWV stubouts be for kitchen sinks, lavs, etc.?

Want to make sure I have enough length to clear drywall, cabinets, escutcheon (sp?), etc. after I cut the caps off the rough in.

I'm afraid I may have made mine too short for my kitchen sink and want to fix now while the walls are still open if I have to.

You should have them about 3" beyond the back of the cabinet in order to cut them off with a tubing cutter.
