new to pex...repair typo

in my earlier post i noticed a typo......do i run the main water supply to pex manifold the to water heater using open ended manifold so that it will supply both the water heater and the rest of the house? it should read: do i run the main water supply to pex manifold then to water heater using open ended manifold so that it will supply both the water heater and the rest of the house? in other words, on an open ended manifold, connect pex from main water supply to top of manifold opening, then run pex to from bottom manifold opening to water heater, then use the 1/2 inch barbs to supply the rest of the house cold water????

You do not give us enough credit, We understood what you are asking, but in the end, it makes little difference HOW you do it. If that is the easiest way then do it. Supply/manifold/water heater, supply/tee for water heater/ manifold, or almost any other configuration is exactly the same.
