Milky water from sink

Hey guys,

Some work was done on the plumbing in my house now one sink and only one sink (in the basement level bathroom) is spitting out milky white water. The water also has a strong odor (kinda like chalk) and an similar taste. If the water sits for a few a minutes it will clear.

I have read that this is safe to drink, but the smell and taste are definitely off-putting...and most importantly: this never happened until after they did the work.

Any ideas how to fix this problem?
