Hi Folks,

I am pretty sure I have old copper drains (1 1/4 mabye..not sure)..

I want to install a new sink and use ABS for the drain. I don't need to attach it using one of those Fernco coupling's do I? I can just use a special ABS connection right?

You will need to use a no hub connector. It's similar to a Fernco but is used above ground. The reason is there is no other way to to make the transition from copper to ABS.

I doubt that your drain is 1-1/4". A bathroom basin trap is often that size, but kitchen sinks are usually 1-1/2", showers and tubs 2", toilets 3" or 4".
