I've got a Legend frost proof hose bib that dripped last winter. It didn't drip at all thru spring, summer, fall, but now with it getting cold its dripping again? There is no interior shut off other than shutting off the whole building (5 townhouses) so this bib needs to not drip.

Thanks for thoughts.

If you do not feel comfortable messing with any internals of the valve just put a cap on the discharge. Just remember that water will be directly behind the cap and possibly subject to freezing w/out any further protection. But if you just want to stop the drip, the cap is your simple solution.

Nothing conclusive but things do constrict / shrink when they are cold....ask George from Seinfeld :o

Freezage! Perhaps the unit is not deep enough and the gravel that normally takes the water drain down is now solid and thus forces the water up to the spout. DIG.
