I want to know the benefits if any to plumbing in a loop when I remodel my house.

Just what do you mean by a loop?? Are you talking water supply, or heat? Are you talking pex with manifolds, etc?

If you're talking about a recirculating loop on your hot water side, the object is to keep warm/hot water near your fixtures at all times, so you don't have to wait for it to come through the line.
