i have a 150' drilled well, located approx 50' from the house. The supply line runs to the inside,(basement) and enters the pressure tank and then goes to the filter.and then to the softener and then to the other areas of the home,etc..
it seems that this filter {rainfresh type} is always collecting small blackish specks in the base of the filter.What are these specks and are they contaminating the water? When i clean the filter and throw out these specks, they make a black smear on anything they rub against.
any input would be appreciated.
