Terry or other,

I bought one of the Toto toilets you recommended. I had a flushing problem (frequent clogs from previous toilet) and figured I needed to upgrade anyway. I took the old toilet off and found a transition from flange to soil pipe which now I know probably contributed to the flushing problems....brother. Anyway, I still think the new toilet will work fine without re-plumbing but thought I would ask. Does anybody think I need to re-plumb? Also, should I replace the flange or use the old one (about 15 years old)?

Thanks for your help.

Nick

Normally, as long as the flange is intact, you can just install a new toilet on it. WIthout seeing what you are seeing, there's no way to tell if you need to do something else. Post a picture, and then you can get a better answer.
