Bathroom faucet leak, Grohe 21184 Classic

Hello. Have a small drip through the spout of the pictured faucet. Not sure of the brand or how to take it apart--it was installed by the previous owner. There are two retaining clips in the back, but I can't see how these would retain the valve stems/cartridges. No screws or screw covers on the handles--maybe they just pull off?

It appears to be a Grohe faucet and if so, the handles DO pull off, albeit not always easily. There are NO replaceable washers so you install a new stem unit.

Thanks. Seems to be similar to the Grohe 21 184 (classic line). Is it worth trying to disassemble and clean the ceramic cartridge to see if that works?
