I am finishing my basement which has roughed in drains for a bathroom. I'd like to install two lavatories in the bathroom and a wet bar sink on the other side of the wall. The problem is that the bathroom group vents through a 2" wet vent, and there is a limit of 4 fixtures on the vent by code (I of course also have a tub/shower and WC). What are my options for adding the third sink? The inspector I spoke to mentioned something about reventing, but I'm not sure what that entails.

Thanks!

What about completing the bathroom and calling the inspector and then adding your Wetbar sink? :D what? who said that? wasn't me...

I don't think that won't work just fine ... maybe if you throw some wild parties that have the all the sinks and toilets going simultaniously :p

Rather than edit my earlier post I'll add a reply clarifying a few things I just learned, with a new question. The limit on the wet vent is 4 fixture units, not fixtures. Since the bathroom group is 6 fixture units (toilet 3, tub 2, lavatory 1) which are counted in the 4 fixture unit limit on the wet vent? The shower and sink(s)? If that's the case then I can see where I could add one sink for a total of 4 units, but adding the wet bar sink would make it 5. The other issue that's popped up is that since the 2" vent is between the toilet and shower, the distance from the trap arm to the vent for the second lavatory would be greater than 5'. So it looks like I'll do one lav in the bathroom and have the wet bar sink, unless there's a relatively easy way to solve the problem.

Thanks!
