Looking at a Rigid k400 for floor and drain pipes sold at Home Depot for about $500.00 (or $636.00 at Grainger's).

Any experience with this unit?

I was told that the extra cost was for the shopping privilege, convenience and availability by a clerk at Grainger's.

There were three Rigid k400's on the shelf at my local Home Depot.

I own and maintain rental property so this will be a medium use product, no main lines.

Is a Rigid K400 a good bang for my buck?

Thanks for all your help

That is an okay machine but a little high in price. This machine might suit your need better.

IN my opinion, the 3/8" cable is worthless, and the 1/2" one is ONLY adequate for 2" drain lines, NOT a 3" or 4" main line. If that is all you need it for, then it will be an adequate tool for you.

Thank you for your comments,

The Rigid K3800 is twice the price.

HJ, Please tell me WHY the 3/8 cable is worthless?

I will not be in any main lines, usually 1 1/2" - 2" lines.

Thank you for your comments

It is too large to go into bathtub drains, and too small to properly clean 1 1/2" and 2" drain lines. The 50' length could also be a factor.
