Any idea what kind of PSI these will safely work at or should you avoid use them completely on pressured lines? I'm thinking they'd be fine on suction lines though and some testing seems to prove that.

EDIT: Don't use these damn things you'll suck air no matter how tight they are.

"0" pressure! The rubber hose and clamp fitting in the photo is not recommended for pressure or suction. In special temporary situations where the pump need the flexibility I have used the Ribbed Radiator Hose for a suction coupling. However I recommend it only be on the suction line with a check valve on the pump. It's not an approved method but it does work.

ya i figured. they're doing great for suction though and holding prime like a champ. with the pipes butting up against each other they should be able to withstand any suction my pump can cause. the quick and easy access they give me to my check valve for checking it for debris is worth it to me. i was having a lot of problems with debris in my last well and now im paranoid with my new baby :)

well as porky mentioned you really can't use these unless they're on the suction line between the well and the check valve. the pipe in between the pump and the check valve goes high pressure after the pump stops operation due to the built up pressure after the pump. at least with a centrifugal.
