Staircase Rapids is an easy walk along a river in the Olympic National Park. A beautiful hike through old growth forest along the North Fork Skokomish River with a 200 foot elevation gain in one mile. It should be a loop trail along both sides of the river, but last Fall the bridge across the river was knocked loose.
