How to install a Kohler K-7030 valve stem

You insert the stem and close it all the way. Then tighten the "bonnet" while holding the stem with its handle, possibly allowing it to turn slightly as you tighten it. IF it does not tighten, then you are missing a spacer washer called the "top bibb ring".
