60 year old galv pipes, snaked, made holes, snaking water/mud now on crawlspace dirt under house. Approximately 20 gallons water/drain sludgemix, now mud, over 8 by 10 foot area figured 2 to 3'' deep.

Crawlspace is actually post and pilings with 3 to 4 feet of headroom.

Umm, nice smell under house now, not sewer backup, just kitchen sink drain mud/mess.

Looking for methods and cautions about clean out this mud.

Do I need to worry about masks to avoid breathing something in that mud?

After mud is out, is there a suggested treatment I should do to the area, like lime covered with soil or anything.

Forum software at time of this thread submittal provided another thread from 2008 with mostly same question.

Pro Plumbers responded with Put lime, cover with sand and visqueen over top.

Seemed to indicate that mud removal was not required.
