Hello,
We just purchased a fairly new home (5 yrs old) which has a deep well pump and a Well-X-Trol pressure tank. Whenever the pump turns on to reload the Well-X-Trol the 1" Pex pipes coming out of the Well-X-Trol unit vibrate continually and transmit the vibration into the 2x4 studs where strapped. Can here the hum easily when upstairs.
No vibration or hammer is noticed when using any fixtures. Vibration is only when the Well-X-Trol is refilling.
We tried strapping the metal flexline feeding into the Well-X-Trol to the wall and wrapping with black foam insulation. Helped a little but not enough. Any ideas how to stop the hum??
