I need to reroute my shower head supply pipe around the wall niche that I want to install between my shower head and shower valve. There's a larger wall cavity behind the shower valve.
If possible, I would prefer to re-route the pipe with only three 90 degree turns by running the pipe back into the wall cavity, up, and then back out toward the shower, but then I think would need to find some kind of straight drop ear coupling. Does such a coupling exist?
Plan B: 4 turns, 90 right, 90 up, 90 left, 90 drop ear toward shower.
Also, when I soldered my shower valve in place last time, it ended up about 1/2 out of position toward the shower. I solved the problem by adding a sheet of 1/2 sheathing to that wall to make the finished wall 1/2 thicker. I can stick with that solution, or I can try to heat the bottom elbows for the hot and cold supply lines so that I can shift it. I assume it's better to leave it alone than risk compromising those joints.
