Kitchen Sink without U Channel

Hi,

I am new to the Forum. I am sure I will get my answers here.

I have a double bowl Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink. It's new but has no manufacturer's name on it. I bought it out of box few years back. I am trying to install it now.

It does not have U channels on the perphery for hold down clamps. Instead it has 1/2" lip all around periphery with 1/4" holes on the lip at almost 1/2" interval. This lip or flange is about 3/4" from the outermost edge. The hold down clamps I received are mismatch. They would not work with it.

Please advise what are my options.I have tried Home Depot, Lowes and couple of specialised Plumbing supply companies too. No body so far been able to help. I may have to use good silicone sealant and simply rest the sink on counter top. Should I not use hold down clips.

Please advise.

It depends on what the holes look like. Normally, they are rectangular and a flat "clip" with a bolt in it, goes through the opening. One end presses against the bottom of the countertop, and the end with the bolt presses against the bottom of the sink.

Can you attach a photo of the underside of the sink?

Thanks for response. The holes are circular. Apparently I am missing some fixing attachment, hence would need alternative option.

Are the holes threaded? Is there a slot, or only a circular hole? Is the part with the hole on a flange where there's a gap and you could put a nut or something on a bolt?

Thanks! The holes are not threaded and are circular. Gap between Flange and outer edge is only 1/2" or so. That would leave no space to have a nut on out side of the flange. Inside of flange there would be lot of space, though.

Please help me with some good advice. Can I screw horizontally through holes in countertop. Accessibility may be a problem. Thanks

It would be almost impossible to access the holes and do that. Give us a picture of the "clips" from the "side" and a close up of ONE of the holes.
