Sears shallow well jet pump

I have a Sears pump model 390-25100 which has lost its prime. What is the correct way to prime it? Thanks.

Remove the plug from the head of pump, fill with water. Shut down the house valve to isolate the pump. You need a gauge to figure out what the pump is doing. Need to figure out why the pump lost its prime to begin with.
