Whirlpool bathtub leak and the shower

We have a whirlpool bathtub that leaks around the edge of the tub only when we take a shower. We have caulked and caulked but it still leaks after about 2 showers. We have let the caulk completely dry but it just does not work. We have used the best caulk out there. The water just lays on the side of the tub and does not run off, it this normal. It puddles up in the corner and stays there. We have a hole in the kitchen where the plaster got wet and fell down, so we are able to see the tub from underneath.
