shower drain question tie in??

This is the picture I kept forgetting to attach. So sorry for that. I want to know what or where is the best way to make a drain for a shower stall I'm planning to add in the basement. Thank you again.

The picture does not really help us answer your question, unless that pipe is where the shower drain is going to be located. In that case, break the floor around the pipe, because the installer did not provide an annular ring around it, then cut the pipe to the right length and fasten the shower drain fitting to it.
