I use American Standard in the bathroom. Only the best.

But I would like to try Toto, starting with the brassware, and I currently have a vacancy on my Mustee laundry cabinet.

Which Toto faucet could I try? Do they make one that will fit?

Your Mustee is a 4" center set.
I think other brands would be better for your laundry tray sink.

When I can, I prefer to buy a laundry sink that hasn't been drilled yet, then I can put the holes where I want them, normally installing a kitchen faucet with hand spray for washing paint pans.

Ian, you will be happy to know that American Standard wants to pay my air fare to New Jersey to see their operation there. I got the call last Thursday.
I'm trying to figure out when my surgery day is so I can plan for it.
Now if I can just talk Toto into sending me to Atlanta, that would be nice to visit too. This week I'm visiting Flushmate in Detroit.
Hmm....that one has everyone giving me warnings. Of the three, which is safest?

Thanks Terry. I might go with a Moen commercial version then, like the 8277. I want to get a decent faucet for once, so I get to know the difference (if there is one) between a good faucet and a cheap one.

I am delighted that you will be visiting the AS operation in New Jersey. Expect the best and attention to detail that us DIYers take for granted in some of their finest porcelain products.

Now there is an oxymoron if I ever saw one. Using "American Standard" and "only the best" in adjacent sentences. I almost NEVER use American Standard, unless it is a matter of cost. Depending on what you intend to use the sink for, you could redrill it with a center hole and use a single hole faucet with a "pull out" spout.

I say "it's not up to standard" unless it's "American standard".

Americans have high standards.

I bought one and was pleasantly surprised with the quality.

Very heavy.

Much better quality than Am Std...

The Quality on those Am Std sinks are great...
The supply house sold the customer 2 for their double sink vanity...
The colors didn't match... Not even close!
The customer returned then to the supply house and they opened up 6 more they had in stock and couldn't find 2 that matched out of a total of 8.
The Am Std rep showed up and brought 3 more and still not a matching pair to be found out of 11 sinks...

I'm not saying they have a problem but...
Do they?

No they don't.

But the Chicago faucet is a good faucet.

I really did want a Toto for my Mustee though.

All paint splattered....

Perhaps next time.

Without a blink, Kohler is the safest and most Norman Rockwell like vision of a city you will find. New jersey is next, but wear a black leather jacket and keep a bread roll in your pocket. Never smile either.

Detroit can be like Palm springs or Chernobyl, depending if you make a left or right turn.
