That vent on your (sink?) can be 1 1/2in. it has to go up 42in. before you can run horizontal.

If that tub drain is going horizontally, then your CONCEPT is correct. All you have to do now is INSTALL it correctly.

If the distance from the sink to the wye of the tub isn't too far, is the sink vent redundant?

Hi

Thanks for the replies...

so..as long there is 42" between sink drain and it's vent ..I should be O.K with this ? Friend of mine keeps saying that sink should drain downstream from the toilet...but that could be difficult.

That measurment referes to the vertical distance above the TOP of the sink.
