View Full Version : Grading Obama

08-01-2010, 08:51 AM
I wasn't sure where to put this but since, the results of his term reflects on our health and welfare it became obvious.

What grade would you give to Obama?

WASHINGTON President Barack Obama is giving himself a grade of "incomplete" for his presidency even though he says he has a "pretty good track record."

Obama tells CBS' "Sunday Morning" that his grade is incomplete because the economy has yet to fully rebound.

Still, Obama cites accomplishments preventing a complete collapse of the economy, saving the financial markets and the auto industry, and passing the health care law.

The president says he feels sometimes that his administration isn't getting the credit it deserves, but he says that's because Americans remain scared, angry and frustrated.

You left out trying to bankrupt this country

That would be an E? :)

Since I am neither homeless or a minority, I cannot think of anyway he has helped me. But since there are a lot of those who are, they will give him a passing grade, and since all he needs is "numbers" they will help his grade.

Otherwise known as "democracy" which is what the Founding Fathers committed treason for.

I think he's done a great job on improving the country's image abroad as well as tackling some of America's greatest social issues.

It's just a deep shame that he came to power at a time where he had to pick up the pieces from the Bush Depression. That challenge, alone, is enough to put any party out of power for a decade.

He's a symbol of a Great America and I very much like living here because he is your President.

Thank you Mr President, God bless you, and may God bless America.

To not like him and His Office, is to bad mouth America. Not me.

Let's hope he gets to work on Cap and Trade soon, so I don't have to put up with any more TV adverts on American coal being cheap, "clean" energy. Yeah right. Tax the heck out of it and get some wind and solar in here people. Which in itself will create jobs, not cost them.

My hand is ready in my pocket to pay my contribution towards this Great Country's energy independence in a clean, sustainable way.

Don't take this the wrong way Ian, :) but, will my hand fit into your pocket too? Because mine only has lint coming out of them.

Ian, nobody does tongue in cheek as well as you. :)

Is that what you call it ?

It kind of reminds me of work yesterday. My boss tells me, " don't cock an attitude" I tell her back that I will cock an attitude anytime she does to me... I walk away.

Ten minutes later she hunts me down and finds me asking this: Can I ask a huge favor of you?

I looked at her like thinking what planet she was from Jnaas2, but had to know what this huge favor indeed was. Oh, she wanted me to work my day off.

I am still off on Friday. Thanks. :)

(I was so mad on my home that I ran over a curb and ripped my bumper half off, so, now was at the mechanics at 8 am.) If I didn't share my car with my youngest son and that I want things as safe as possible for him, I would say that it was worth it just to release the excessive build up of steam in my head. :)

I can see why men divorce their wives, she probably drove him crazy and is working on me. If she calls me Sunshine one more time, I am going to buy one of those fake planets from a science store and put it where the sun doesn't shine for her. Bet her exhusband would clap. :)

Ah, what a blessed day. :)

In some areas E stands for Excellent

F is for Failure

I read that if the cap and trade passes you won't be able to sell your home until it meets some kind of energy star rating. A government employee will come to your home and determine how efficient it is. You may end up spending thousands of dollars just to make it meet some federal mandate in order to sell it!! And that government employee will charge you $200.00 plus dollars for the test. This is just like the car exhaust tests they do here in the Phoenix area and other places.

Read this slowly, let it sink in, VOTE in November

This is about as clear and easy to understand as it can be – please read it.

The article below is completely neutral; not anti- republican or democrat.

Charlie Reese, a retired reporter for the Orlando Sentinel has hit the nail directly on the head, defining clearly who it is that in the final analysis must assume responsibility for the judgments made that impact each one of us every day.

It's a short but good read; worth the time and worth remembering!

545 vs. 300,000,000

Charley Reese has been a journalist for 49 years.

545 PEOPLE--By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, ‘if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?’

Have you ever wondered, ‘if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?’

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits.... The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it's because they want them in IRAQ . If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees...

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!
