It is with pleasure to announce that we are now completely “Totoizedâ€.
Today the defective AS Cadet 3 in the half bath (See my post under Cadet 3 Product Review regarding cracks or peeling under the rim accompanied by a foul odor) was replaced with an ADA compliant Toto Eco Drake, Tank #ST743E01 and Bowl #C744EL01.
This morning, we went shopping at our local plumbing supply house where we were greeted by a wonderful lady who informed us that she is known as the Toilet Queen. Her Majesty showed us their complete display of Toto toilets including the Aquia, Drake, Ultramax, Ultimate, and a few others (warning us not to buy the Caruso). Drawing from our 100% positive from the Drake in the main bathroom (installed October 2005) and from the knowledge gained from the pillars of this site, we chose the Eco Drake.
We even got a 25% discount!!!!
The cost for the Drake (minus the tax) was $392 compared to $433 that I paid for the first Drake in 2005.
All parts of the new Drake are flawless; no major or cosmetic defects. Both tank and bowl were made in the USA.
Installation was simple and with no surprises. We even have the 3 point contact between the tank and bowl.
Our new Drake sits eagerly awaiting its first use.
Thanks to all here!
