Any of ya'll braze...

What should a clean braze look like or not ?
Or due to the sheer amount of heat, a brazed joint will never look as clean as a solder joint...

Just comparing/looking at the quality of joints my HVAC guys is doing.
Sofar, his joints don't look too good..but nitrogen test is holding ...

A brazed joint will ALWAYS look ugly. They're impossible to do and have the piping look like it would had you soldered.

As long as there is a good bead of what ever the tech used to braze around the joint then it's all good.

The only good looking braze joint you will ever see is a factory braze job that they have cleaned buffed and made pretty...

Al the rest are just butt ugly but they work....

For four reasons.
1. It will NOT fail during a fire, which is why copper gas lines CANNOT be soldered.
2. It is stronger
3. The flux used for soldering joints is MURDER on an airconditioner's compressor.
4. You could NOT solder that pinched connection and expect to get a good joint.
