Hello! I am new to this site and would like to ask a few questions if I may. I will have a new well drilled soon and also will need to purchase a submersible pump. My well should be between 70-100 feet deep I was told by a driller. I hear that a 2 wire pump is best so no control box will be needed. What should I look out for with a well driller and what brand pump is best? Are A.Y. McDonald pumps any good? Thanks ahead of time for all replies! Dan.

I like 3 wire pumps, more starting torque and more components on the surface. 1 extra wire but smaller size. Stay with pump brands that are NOT sold at big box stores and auction sites and are about 150 bucks cheaper than anything else. Watch out for shiny and pretty chinese pumps with oddball control box combos sold at auction sites.
