I have had the drake toilet in my house now for a little over a month and I hate it....How do you plunge a drake toilet... every time I try its such a HUGE mess and the plunger doesn't seem to fit over the opening very well. I was able to unclog it before with a coated wire clothes hanger but now even that doesn't work.. Im sure everyone one here (from all Ive read) would be in disbelief that a drake could be clog, but so far I have had to try to unclog it about ten times. And if the drake clogs, what hope do I have???!!! Any HELP would be appreciated!!

If you are in the very small minority of people that that very large, hard, stools, then even the Drake may not work for you; a Caroma may be your best bet - it has a larger diameter internal trap than any other toilet on the generally available market. It works for most people. If that is not the condition you have, then it's probably not the toilet, but the piping. An offset flange, or some other obstruction is the likely cause, and no toilet will work properly.

There is almost certainly an obstruction of some sort. I have 3 Totos in my house and can say with some assurance that they have been thoroughly tested for their ability to handle rather large loads.

Unless someone is putting extraordinary amounts of TP down them, there is an obstruction. Could be a plastic toy, a comb, or something else dropped in the toilet; could be faulty installation, using a wax ring with a plastic horn, or a regular wax ring which was improperly placed so that it occludes part of the flange.

Pull up the toilet, take a look at the flange, and run a toilet auger in from the bottom.

There is something about this that makes me suspect perhaps you are playing with us. Forgive me if someone in your family has a serious medical condition that creates extremely large and hard stools, but unless that is the case, then there are only a couple of possible reasons your Drake is clogging, and they have been noted in previous replies. It is possible that something has been put into the toilet that has lodged in the trap way. It is also possible that there is a blockage in the sewer line. Neither of these situations would be the fault of the toilet, Toto or any other brand. In other words, you are placing the blame in the wrong place. I think there is a lot more to the story than you have told us...or you are playing a game with us.
