I need to replace an insert on the spigot on the side of my house and kind figure out what kind this is, or where I could get a new one. The house is about 40 years old, probably the original spigot. Came with a metal handle, full turn to get it going, definitely not a newer model. Links to the pics below, any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike

Looks like the shaft of a frost proof hose bib. Even knowing the brand I think yor are going to have a hard time replacing it, 40 yrs is a long time for a manufactor to carry parts.

Could you make the pictures any larger? That part is too generic to give you an answer. The valve itself should have identification. If not, and even if you do find the manufacturer, the odds are that the pattern has been modified MANY times since yours was made.

It does not, if we are talking about the same item, these old Prier stems were made of brass rod and the washer was stopped by deforming the rod, newer style feature the enlargement that stops the washer in the correct spot.
