I found this to be very helpful... it is for the town of Lincoln County Oregon, but I believe most if not all is in-line with the major code. Experts: if you see something that is regional, please do flag it for us.

That's a very interesting guide. I will keep it for reference, thank you.

You're right that local codes do vary. The water heater section, for example, would not pass inspection around here. We're not allowed earthquake straps and it must be rigid piping all the way.

That pdf is just about perfect.
Every homeowner considering plumbing should print that out.
It's better then any book I've ever seen on plumbing.

Note san tee on it's back on page 5 used for toilet vent. They are legal in Oregon, but not too many other places......
