Touchless Ez-Faucet?

Did anybody try this Ez-Faucet:

Since the hot and cold controls have to be open in order to provide flow and preselected temperature, this is the first place to look when you start getting cross flow with cold water in the hot faucets or vice versa. And I doubt that they provide check valves for the inlet supply lines.

HJ, you are 1000%+ right about cross flow problem!
But I was not even thinking to leave regular controls open all the
time with this toy attached to the faucet. I think this will be nice
â€œwater saverâ€ device in ADDITION to normal faucet controls.

If you do not leave the faucet open all the time what good is it? If you are going to use it to "open" the flow and then adjust the hot and cold while it is flowing, then use it to turn the water on and off while washing your hands you are a technophile because it would be more bother than it is worth, and would save very little water, especially if it was one of those with a delayed shut off to give you time to soap your hands.

Yes HJ, you are 1000%+ right again â€“ I am technophile and I
like a lot different technological toys. My house is full of different
kind of gadgets. And guess what â€“ my wife likes them too and
quickly finds them usefull.
Let me think a bit how to operate this new toy.
Meanwhile (if I decide to keep controls open) to avoid
potential cross connection (Thank You for making this very good
point, I did not think about it) I bought few of these check valves:

valves

They are a bit "clunky" and I don't know how you will connect them to your faucet's shut off valves. Many companies, Sloan for one, make small chrome backflow valves that screw onto the common shut off valves and then the supply line connects to it.

HJ,
Could you please post a link where to by these nice backflow valves?
I know, they must exist but I was not able to find one (even on â€œSloanâ€
web page). Valves what I bought are not too elegant but they are
cheap ($5 a piece) and with right flow direction (from M to F).
They are 1/2â€ and should nicely connect right to the faucet inlets
(will go between inlets and flex connectors).
Is it any problem with this approach?

The faucet inlets are cut straight, the fittings you have are tapered.

If you can wait till Thursday, I can get back to you on sensor faucets.

PS.
BB-1000 bidet seat arrived and I already installed it temporary on old toilet.
My wife already like it a lot!
New TOTO Ultramax supposed to be a one piece unit but it came in three
or four pieces. Now I know why you are not shipping these things across the
country.
