I've decided to get the Toto Drake to replace a 30 year old toilet in downstairs 1/2 bath after reading reviews here and other sites. But not sure which model to get.

Specifications wanted:
Universal height (taller bowl)
Sanigloss
Elongated bowl

With all the talk of 1.6gpf and 1.28gpf and Double cyclone, G-max and E-max flush, I'm finding it hard to make the final decision. With the 1.6gpf, I know I can't go wrong. But would like to conserve the most water possible in the long run.

Any suggestions welcome.

With those specs, you can only get the CST454CEFG, Toto Drake II with a tall bowl, CEFIONTECT, Elongated.
It a good toilet, we sell a lot of them.

Thanks, Terry. I guess that settles that. My mind was spinning with all the different choices out there. Who knew selecting a new toilet would be so hard. This forum is great. Got a laugh from many posts. Where else could you talk about skidmarks in the toilet, etc? It really is helpful reading about people's experiences with all brands of toilets.

What about with fewer criteria

Terry,
Thank you for this useful website! You responded to a previous thread by saying with their specs, they should get the Drake II. My question is: If only an elongated bowl is an issue, and if sanigloss and ADA height are not an issue, what would be your first choice between the Drake, Eco Drake, and Drake II? What would be your second choice? What would be your third? Thanks!

They are all good toilets...

Between the Drakes and the Drake II, the Drake II introduces a rimless bowl design that is easier to clean and cleans the bowl with a swirling waterflow. Given that, if I were in the market for a new Drake, I'd go with the Drake II.

Hi terry,
If the single most important factor in my purchase decision is the most CONSISTENTLY CLEAN BOWL REGARDLESS OF STOOL SIZE OR FRAGMENTED PARTICULATES, which tank design will perform best; Drake I with 1.6 gal GMax or Drake II with 1.28 gal double cyclonic? I don't know where EMax comes in. It might be a common assumption that the Toto 1.6 gal designs with GMax should have the strongest evacuation force but that a 1.28 gal double cyclonic design might clean the upper surfaces of the bowl from debris more thoroughly. Does that mean that there has to be a trade off in making my decision? If so, what do you think is the superior product?
Performance matters to me, not the prestige of any particular model, technological design feature or esthetic appearance. Thanks for your invaluable forum. I read a thread you posted re the class action suit against American Standard re the frequent leaks issues. I will no longer consider their products.
