Hi There!

I recently found I had a broken flange and repaired it with a steel ring mounted into the concrete floor. The steel ring, with the screw eyelets for mounting it, has a diameter of about 8.25" and the toilet's base only accepts 8". The toilet sits on top of the steel ring. Is there such a thing as an "extra wide" base toilet to fit over the repair ring?

My other idea is forget the ring, and drive the mounting bolts through the broken flange and into the concrete floor. Does anyone know of problems with doing that?

Thanks!

Steven

Is your broken flange cast iron?

The flange is plastic, the repair ring is steel.
