What has been affected when the psi of the bladder in the pressure tank is 10 psi lower then it should be? The pump cuts in at 42 psi and cuts out at 60 psi. The bladder has 30 psi in it. What will this do? The gauge has been checked against another and it is reading correctly.

Thank You for your help.

It causes the pump to cycle a bit more frequently. bump the pressure back up to 2lbs below cut in.

Having the air pressure less than the 1-2 psi below the cut in setting of the switch allows the bladder to stretch and wear itself out sooner. It also reduces the pressure available to move water when the pump is off. So you should drain the tank, check the air pressure with no water in the tank and adjust it to 40-39 lbs.
