I have a Grohe Bridgeford 33 870 faucet. When I pull out the retractable spray nozzel, it does not retract on its own. It just hangs. Is that the way it's supposed to be. I thought you had to pull it past a certain point for it not to retract and that mostly it would automatically retract. How is this supposed to work . Thanks for your help

I have a different model. There is a long coil spring that surrounds the hose under the counter. It gets compressed when you pull it out, and the spring pulls the hose back in when you move it back towards the holder. If that spring is broken, not installed, or caught up on something, then it won't work.

Hey, wait a minute.

This is awkward, but...
