I am doing a new PVC stack, drain, vent, etc, full replacement for cast iron.

I happen to have a 3x3 wye and a 1/8 elbow, and those big fittings are pricey, so I'm wondering if I can use that to tie in my toilet, or if I should pony up for a 3x3 san-tee and a long-sweep 90. If the latter, do I need a long-sweep, or can it just be a regular 90?

The riser is about three feet from the vertical stack, maybe less.

Here's a picture.

Thanks!

I should say that I think the wye option is a no-go since it might s-trap. But I would like to confirm.

This is all 3", to the flange.

The Wye and eight bend wont work because of the venting issues. The sanitary tee and quarter bend is the way to go.

The wye in that positions only works with a toilet.
Either way you have it drawn will work for a toilet.

The trap in a toilet is an S trap, and uses the fill valve to refill the bowl.

If it was any other fixture, you would need the Santee off of a vertical.
