Terry,

I'm having trouble figuring out how to take this toilet off the floor. They used some type of threaded ball bearing or something...I know it can't be a nut they stripped because it's polished. Have you ever encountered something like this?

How do I fix this? I can't tighten the bolt to see if that's why there is a leak. I know part of the problem is a hairline crack on both sides of the bowl, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to replace the toilet.

What do you think?

cracked toilet

never mind the hack saw, just keep tapping the bolt area with a hammer.
Replace the toilet.
Sounds like it's screwed to the floor and not bolted to a closet flange.
If so you will have to make a repair there before you install a new toilet..

Hey, wait a minute.

This is awkward, but...
