Below are a couple of pics of the back of the new Kohler Archer pedestal sink that was just shipped to me. There are two chips, the larger of the two located about an inch from one of the mounting holes. Is this:

Unusual?
Going to cause any problems when I install it?
A reason to return it?

Otherwise it looks good - the back of the sink is pretty flat (I've read that can be a problem) and otherwise it looks fine.

chip

Forget about it. That chip is not structural, nor is it in a spot where it would be seen or cause any problem, nor is it the start of a larger chip.

Hard to tell in the pic, but it looks like the chipped area is glazed over. That would mean it was a factory chunk, not considered to be a functional or cosmetic issue, and maybe "normal"??

There is absolutely no relationship between that support hole and the chip, and I have never used the support holes for a pedestal installation anyway.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm keeping it - just my luck I'd return it and get a sink with a worse problem. :D
