A few months ago we installed/replaced a pressure relief valve. Prior to replacing that I had water coming out of just about everywhere it could come out. Since replacing the pressure relief valve my kitchen sinks still drips, even if you turn the water off under the sink. I have been told that the seals were probably ruined when I was getting too much pressure in the house. Do I replace the entire faucet system? Is there something I can check? Do I shut off all water and go back to outdoor plumbing?

Any advise is appreciated.

It sounds as if you have two separate problems.

For the faucet, it really depends on the brand and condition of the unit. Parts are available to repair most.

If the valves under the sink do not stop the flow of water, replacing them would likely be the best solution.

If the faucet is more then 30 years old, replace it.

It's a good idea to replace the under counter shutoffs too.

A plumber can use a sleeve puller and replace the shutoffs.

drip

The heater's safety valve keeps the system from developing "unsafe" pressures and the faucet should have been able to handle the pressure up to that point, so the leak is probably NOT related to any pressure problem although we cannot tell you if it is just a normal repair situation.
