Drake tank with Drake II Bowl?

I like the idea of the cyclone flush and CEFIONTECT on the Drake II, but would like to stick with the 1.6 gallon flush that I have on my current Drake toilets. Can I put the 1.6 gallon tank on the Drake II?

As I understand it, the tank is the same, the flapper is different. So, buy it, try it at 1.28g, and if you really want more volume (shouldn't be necessary), either hold the handle down for a bit more, or change the flapper valve to always get more.

You cannot put a Drake tank (ST743S) on a Drake II (C454CEFG) bowl as they are not the same unit.
