i got a new flotec precharged pressure tank with a new pressure switch and guage. the pump kicks on at 20 psi and kicks off at 40 psi and has 18 lbs of air in the tank. Why does my guage keep climbing after the pump shuts off??

If the pipe leading to the gauge is clogged, it can take awhile for the thing to sense the actual pressure.
