Hey Guys I am new to the forum here but have tons of experience in everything about remodeling except plumbing and electrical. So, I plan on being a resource, but right now i need your advice.

Project: To add a extra bathroom and utility area below existing drains in house.

Questions:
(1) Are there any special pumps or macerators needed for sewage?
(2) With roof venting available, do I need to vent the pump or just the toilet, shower, and washing machine before the pump?
(3) Is it okay to tie into kitchen sink/dish washer drain or should I plumb past those 6 feet (horizontal) to tap main 4" drain pipe.
(4) Can this type system be installed in crawl space area under floor if access can be made?
(5) should we add a extra hotwater tankless?
(6) Do new front load high capacity washers discharge more or less water to the drain?

Details: Existing drain for kitchen sink is 3+ feet above area for new construction. We plan on adding a shower, toilet, vanity sink, washing machine and utility basin. Roof venting no problem as walls need to be built.

I am hoping something like the DAYTON 4RK74 will do the job.

Thanks in advance for your time and advice.

1. Yes.
2. You need to vent the pump and bathroom group.
3. I'd discharge as far down stream as you can.
4. Yes.
5. How big of tank do you have now and what's the demand on it?
6. No idea.

pump

(1) Are there any special pumps or macerators needed for sewage?
Definitely
(2) With roof venting available, do I need to vent the pump or just the toilet, shower, and washing machine before the pump?
Both.
(3) Is it okay to tie into kitchen sink/dish washer drain or should I plumb past those 6 feet (horizontal) to tap main 4" drain pipe.
It will work, UNTIL the sink drain starts to get obstructed and the pump water comes up in the sink
(4) Can this type system be installed in crawl space area under floor if access can be made?
Yes, but anyone who has to work on the pump will NOT be happy if you put it there.
(5) should we add a extra hotwater tankless?
No idea, since we do not know how MANY people could be taking showers at the same time.
(6) Do new front load high capacity washers discharge more or less water to the drain?
Usually less, but what difference does it make?

Why are you asking the questions? Doesn't your plumber know the answers to them?
